Construction of the angled-cable bridge of the the Danube between Komárom and Komárno, with associated road construction work and other trades

The road section crossing the Danube on the bridge planned between Komárom and Komárno will connect Main Road no. 1 on the Hungarian side with Main Road no. 63 on the Slovakian side. The new road sections of the main road to be built are as follows:

– Main Road no. 1 to the Danube Bridge:            1158 m

– Danube bridge:                                                           600 m

– Danube bridge to Main Road no. 63:                  646 m

The new public road Danube bridge we have contracted for is some 170 m upstream (to the west) of the existing railway bridge, 2.8 km upstream of the Erzsébet Danube Bridge in the city centre, at the 1770.57 km section of the Danube.

The subject of the present Project is a 600 m angled cable Danube bridge with pylons along with the associated road construction work and other trades.

The bridge shall consist of five spans, of which 3 shall be over the river bed and 2 over the floodplain on the Slovakian side.

The road section over the bridge planned between Komárom and Komárno will connect Main Road no. 1 on the Hungarian side with Main Road no. 63 on the Slovakian side.
